Les Miserables. We bring on Twitter anon Tacitus to talk Rogue One and the upcoming Star Wars franchise. Also: Les Mis: thebook, Victor Hugo, revolutions, melodrama, law and grace, and why the Patriarch was never in a boy band.
I watched Les Mis to see if Ann Hathaway would be wearing underwear--for the usual reason--to see whether I should sell my shares in Hanes Her Way or not. I decided that she couldn't possibly buy enough to matter one way or another. And that Hanes doesn't sell any 1833 June Revolution underwear anyway.
My personal favorite adaptation of Les Mis is not the musical, but the Focus On the Family audio drama from some years back. I would listen to that over and over while knitting useless scarves when I needed to kill time as a kid. It's still my favorite.
